    PERFECT!

This is by far, the most beautiful RS we have ever seen. It is in showroom condition and was meticulously maintained every mile. We recently took in this bike as a trade on a new K1200S and were so impressed with it's condition, that we wanted to let everyone know. It has ABS Brakes, Heated Grips, Throttle Miester and Color Matched Bags. Check it out on our Pre-Owned Bikes page.

    FEATURED MOTORCYCLE - G650X-MOTO!
    January 15, 2008
Have you ridden a Motard yet? What's a Motard? Super Motard Racing is VERY BIG in Europe. It started with individuals taking dirt bikes and putting sportbike wheels and tires on them to make them stick better to the road. What you get is an unbelievable ride that combines the long smooth suspension of a dirt bike and the great handling of 17" radial sport tires and brakes. You may have seen models from Suzuki like the DRZ400SM or the KTM Duke. Now BMW has produced a Motard called the X-MOTO. It features our new G650 chassis with BMW’s famous ABS Brakes and Cast Aluminum Wheels. Combined with a low center of gravity for better handling and premium suspension pieces – you have the perfect recipe for FUN! We currently have a 2007 X-MOTO Demo bike with only 172 miles. This bike has an MSRP of $10,245 from BMW, but San Jose BMW is offering it at $8,995 plus frt/tax/lic. Come in and take a look at the most fun you may ever have on a motorcycle.
  • 2007 was quite a year for sjbmw racing!

2007 WAS QUITE A YEAR FOR SJBMW RACING!

Chris works to get the X-Bike ready for our first race of 2008. We will also be running the new R1200HP2-Sport (if we ever get it). ……………………….. In 2007, we started off by stomping the competition in the MOTO-ST Series with the 1st race at Daytona, only to have a ½” long bolt break on the timing gear with 9 laps to go! ………………………..The 2nd race was at Homestead in Miami and we were bound and determined to make up for our misfortune at Daytona. With the previous DNF (did not finish), we started in 12th position on the grid. Brian rode is butt off (many times sliding through the corners) and we finished a respectable 3rd! ………………………..The next race was at VIR (Virginia) and we could not be stopped. We crushed the competition and WON the race in big style.……………………….. On to Road America (Wisconsin) for race 4. One again we were the class of the field and Brian started by WINNING the Thunder Bike National that was held prior to the MOTO-ST. Once again we were out front with the ‘factory’ Aprilias in close pursuit. There were wrecks and crashes and all manors of incidents to mess with the flow of the race (fortunately we weren’t involved). As a result, both we and the Aprilia team were forced to forgo a final pit stop with 3 laps to go, as not to loose the lead. To our good fortune, the Aprilia ran out of gas on the last lap and pulled to the side. Brain continued around the track wondering what had happened to the Aprilia. As he was coming around the LAST TURN with only 500ft to go to (at Road America it’s UP HILL to the finish line) our powerful SJBMW burbled to a stop – out of gas. Brian tried everything to get it started, but it was bone dry. And then out of the blue came the Aprilia – some how their rider was able to get the bike started and he slowly rode by Brian with the engine missing and sputtering as it was once again trying to run out of fuel. The Aprilia won the race but the two of us were so far out in front that even though Brian didn’t cross the finish line – we still came in 5th! ………………………..The next race was in Iowa at a track that had never had bikes on it before and it was slippery to say the least. In addition, Brian pointed out that there was not enough run-off or crash protection for the riders. As a result SJBMW chose not to race as we deemed it to dangerous. Unfortunately, there was a horrible accident precisely where Brain said one would be and two riders were sent to the hospital. ……………………….. The final MOTO-ST race of the year was at Daytona for the 8hr. We won that race in 2006 and were hoping to do as well this year. One added note – we took 2 bikes to this race; the R1200S and a new F800S. The R1200S was again the class of the field, running up front with the Road Racing World Suzuki for over 7 hours. The F800S was running perfectly but the fuel rig in the pits was not delivering enough fuel during the pit stops. With just minutes left in the race – a slower rider pulled on to the track and right into our R1200S. Our co-rider Richard Cooper and the Ducati that hit him, went tumbling. Unbelievably, Cooper got the bike up and made it back to the pits. Brian jumped on the damaged bike and rode it hard to a strong 2nd place! The F800S finished 7th in class in its first MOTO-ST race. ……………………….. We ended up finishing 4th in the points for the year. Not too bad for a one bike team that had to travel 3,000 miles to every race track :)
